Champion It’s A Dundeel has a bit to boast about. His swansong winning the 2014 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (G1) at The Championships saw him beat champion and dual Doncaster winner Sacred Falls as well as Epsom Derby and Prince of Wales stakes place Carlton House.
As a three year old he took out the Sydney Triple Crown, winning the Randwick Guineas (G1), Rosehill Guineas (G1) and Australian Derby (G1) in devastating fashion, winning the last two legs by a combined 12.8 lengths. Adding to these his win in the Spring Champion Stakes (G1), his Group one tally had reached four by the end of his three year old year.
Dundeel’s win in the Underwood Stakes (G1) was a race to remember when he took on the unbeaten mare Atlantic Jewel, a four time group one winner, and beat her by head. He is the only horse to have beaten Atlantic Jewel.
