About

One of the most talented young riders in the game, as the son of champion jockey and 1992 Melbourne Cup winner, Greg Hall, Nick was born to be in the saddle. The now Victorian based jockey has very much forged a name of his own winning some of Australia’s greatest races in his short career. As an apprentice he was prolific, taking the Victorian apprentices’ title in 2008/09 with 109 winners. In the seasons either side of that he rode 91 and 92 winners. Quickly becoming one of Australia’s greatest riders, Hall’s highest success came when he saluted aboard Fawkner in the 2013 Caulfield Cup, a horse owned by his godfather Lloyd Williams. He also won his first Group 1 race aboard Efficient for Williams in the 2009 Turnbull Stakes, while he won the 2010 Turnbull and Australian Cup steering Zipping. Nick Hall has been appointed to ride two of the Japanese contenders during the autumn carnival – To The World and World Ace.
