About
Peter Snowden is a former country jockey and trainer who worked his way up the ranks to become head trainer of Crown Lodge following the departure of John Hawkes.
He stayed in the top role when the operation was sold to Darley and delivered outstanding results for the racing giants, namely with star juveniles Guelph, Earthquake, Sepoy and Helmet. Peter left the post in 2014 to train in partnership with his son Paul at Royal Randwick.
The new partnership didn't waste any time in establishing a stable of stars, with Shooting To Win becoming their first Group One winner when he took out the Caulfield Guineas. The stable further enhanced their reputation as outstanding conditioners of two-year-olds with Capitalist taking out the Golden Slipper last year.
