Fashion is synonymous with horse racing, and just as The Championships brings together the best horses at the best venue, it is fitting that you look and feel your best.

Horse racing and fashion have a history dating back to Australia’s first horse race held in Hyde Park in 1810, where ‘all the beauty and fashion of the colony’ were in attendance (noted by the Sydney Gazette).

Dressing for the races can be simple for some, and a labour of love for others. Be sure to stay tuned for some valuable fashion tips on how to dazzle the crowd at The Championships, and Fashions on the Field information.

General Admission

Entry to the general admission areas of the racecourse requires guests to be neatly dressed. Shoes and a shirt must be worn at all times. All general admission dining rooms and function venues require smart casual attire – for example: dress jeans and a nice shirt (no shorts or thongs)

Enclosure

Members are reminded of their responsibility of ensuring that their own attire and the attire of their guests introduced into the Members’ Enclosure conform to standards required.
